Originally a 1300 dwt general cargo vessel ATLAS SCAN with 2x50 ton derricks, in 1985 she was heavily rebuilt into a container ship.

Built: 1979 by Peters Schiffswerft, Wewelsfleth, Germany

One of a 2500 dwt series of freighters with the distinctive Peters' style of the superstructure the shipyard was applying on it's ships for nearly three decades. Unlike the previous series with superstructure's forward-leaning front, ships of these and following series feature a vertical front for better stacking of containers.
